About Us
Southwood Restaurant is a small, locally owned restaurant specializing in home cooked food. Our most popular item is our juicy 16 oz ribeye. We also offer a huge portion of slow baked pork ribs, Southwood Grilled chicken, hand breaded chicken strips and large entree salads. Sides include a house salad, loaded mashed potatoes, green beans, seasoned rice, or buttery corn. All of our items are made fresh, including our delicious yeast rolls and decadent desserts! Desserts vary weekly but almost always include bread pudding, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. Since seating is limited, reservations are recommended. We are located just outside of the Huntsville city limits on Highway 75 South, and are only open for dine in on Fridays from 5-9 pm. On Mondays, we offer a To Go only meal that is not available on our dine in Friday night. Monday To Go options may include Chicken and dumplings, beef tips & rice, or a number of other southern style classics.
