This is a FREE How-To Workshop and Support Group to help caregivers for senior adults. This workshop will help you know how to help your loved one out of a chair or stand up from a fall.
WHO SHOULD COME: Individuals who are taking care of a senior adult, such as a parent, older sibling, neighbor or good friend, either full or part-time.
WHAT WILL YOU SEE: Professionals in the field of senior care will provide training on how to safely lift, move and assist in moving individuals who use a walker or wheel-chair. You will see demonstrations o how to safely transfer from a chair to the car, how to help an individual out of a chair or how to help an individual get dressed so that you avoid falls and injuries.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Share your needs and concerns during group discussion led by the chaplain of Embracing Hospice.
