Dr. Gene Roberts, Jr., Associate Dean and Director of Student Legal Services at SHSU will be the guest speaker at the Walker County Republican Women’s (WCRW) September 16, 2024, meeting. The community is invited to hear Dr. Roberts’ presentation, “Understanding the Electoral College” and become familiar with how our country elects the President and the Vice-President of the United States. This is a timely topic, with the upcoming presidential election, and will explain the process of why we elect the President and Vice-President by the Electoral College and contrasting it to electing the President and Vice-President by a popular vote of qualified citizens. The afternoon meeting, which begins at 5:30p.m., will be held at the Katy and E. Don Walker Education Center, lower level at Gibbs Hall, located at 1402 19th Street, Huntsville Texas 77340. For information about this meeting, email wcrwvp.tx@gmail.com or visit the WCRW website, wcrwtx.org for information on future events and meetings.
