October is designated as Texas Archeology Month. Come celebrate with the Sam Houston Memorial Museum as they host an evening presentation "San Jacinto Town Site: Artifacts from the Larry Golden Collection (1832-1915). Linda Gorski, President of the Houston Archeological Society, and Larry Golden, owner of the collection, will be discussing the history of the town and the incredible artifacts, dating from the 1840's to 1900, have have been discovered, including clay pipes, jewelry, bottles, and buttons. A special one night exhibit of artifacts from the Golden Collection will on display from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Katy & E. Don Walker, Sr. Education Center. The presentation will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This is a free event and the public is invited to attend.
