Public Meeting-Watersheds of San Jacinto River

TCEQ and H-GAC are holding three public meetings to discuss bacteria in Watersheds of the East/West Forks-San Jacinto River.  The purpose of the meetings are to discuss the finding of the Bacteria Study (Technical Document) and to elect Steering Committee Representatives.  The waterbodies within the project area are experiencing high levels of bacteria, found in both human and animal waste.  Hig bacteria levels can affect health and impair recreational activities, such as swimming, fishing, and boating.
