Night of Percussion
Presented by the SHSU School of Music, Night of Percussion is a potpourri concert showcasing a little bit of everything the percussion area does at the university. The show will feature all percussion chamber groups--Sam Houston Percussion Group, University Percussion Ensemble, the SHSU Steel Band and student soloists. The music will include contemporary percussion ensembles, ragtime xylophone solos, marimba soloists, Mexican marimba, Caribbean and Latin music via steel band and a little surprise as a preview to next season.
