Huntsville Area Newcomers Club (for a lifetime) has invited Leigh Ann Dye, with the Texas Bluebird Society, as the speaker for their February 5, 2026, luncheon meeting. She will share information about the Society’s purpose in educating the public on bluebirds and other cavity nesting birds. The Bluebird Society, which began 25 years ago, has distributed over 22,000 nestboxes across Texas to provide a thriving environment for the birds and preserve their songs for generations to come. Ms. Dye currently serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Texas Bluebird Society and is also the Parliamentarian for the Newcomers Club. The luncheon begins at 11:30 am, at the Elkins Lake Club House, located at 632 Cherry Hills Drive, Huntsville, Texas. The community is invited to attend, and reservations are required. Call (760) 419-9589 for more information or to make a reservation. The reservation deadline is Friday, January 30, 2026, and the cost is $21.00 per person.
