The Walker County Republican Women (WCRW) will host a domestic violence awareness program for their April 15, 2024, meeting. A panel of speakers from local agencies, including representatives from local law enforcement, the District Attorney’s office and SAAFE House have been invited to provide an overview of their procedures in responding to domestic violence situations. The club will also be accepting the following type donations at the April 15 meeting, for several of the agencies who work with victims of domestic violence: leggings, yoga pants or sweatpants, T-shirts and tops, undergarments, socks, and house shoes. This event is open to the public. The program begins at 5:30p.m. and will be held at the Katy and E. Don Walker Education Building, Gibbs Hall, located at 1402 19th Street, Huntsville Texas 77340.
