CASA Speak Up for Kids 5K Run
Each abused child in the Texas court system needs an advocate to speak up for them in court. Volunteer advocates are appointed by judges as guardians ad litem and serve one case at a time. CASA of Walker & San Jacinto Counties trains and guides volunteers at an expense of roughly $1,000 per child served during the year. CASA of Walker & San Jacinto Counties currently serves more than 120 children annually. Your entry fee will help cover the costs involved in helping these children. Bring out the whole family to benefit the CASA kids from Walker and San Jacinto Counties!
The CASA Speak Up for Kids 5K Run includes a timed race on a certified course for the competitive athletes and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk for others. One T-shirt is guaranteed for entries in either the 5K race or the fun run if registered by September 23, 2011. Additional t-shirts may be available for purchase for $10.00 at the race.
