2011 New Folk Finalists at the Kerrville Folk Festival, this Americana Acoustic Duo also performed as New Folk Finalists at Kerrville in 2009. Byrd & Street were 3-time Regional Winners at the festival and were also nominated for a 2009 Texas Music Award as Outstanding Vocal Duo. Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul & Mary) recently completed a YouTube video of one of their songs, “Let Me Be Your Friend” for Pet Connect. Among their many awards is first place in the Country category in the 2006 Austin Songwriter's Group contest. Byrd's earthy vocals intertwined with Street's sweet pure voice create the remarkably tight harmonies that have become their trademark.
