At Home in a Revolution
Fought on October 2nd, 1835, the Battle of Gonzales was the spark that lit the Texas Revolution, a war which engulfed this state for more than seven months. Come to Bear Bend Cabin to discover the Texas Revolution from the home front perspective. Get a new look at an important event as costumed historians help you explore the Texas militia, home defense, and the role of women and children in the revolution.
