SUMMARY:Walker County Criminal Justice Community Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to develop a Strategic Plan which identifies service gaps within the criminal justice system in Walker County.  Government agencies or non-profits can then apply to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for funds that can be used to close these gaps.\n\nWho should attend the meeting?\n\n	\n		School District and University Officials and Students\n	\n		County-City Official and Employees\n	\n		Medical Personnel and Agencies\n	\n		Law Enforcement Officers\n	\n		Civic Club Members\n	\n		Non-Profit Agencies\n	\n		Faith Based Organizations\n	\n		Victim's Assistance Agencies\n	\n		Juvenile Probation and Organizations\n\n\n	What is the benefit to Walker County?\n\n	All applications made to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office must tie in with a current Walker County Community Plan.  Greater involvement by our citizens will translate to a more up to date Plan\, which will strengthen all our applications requesting grants to close identified gaps.
