DESCRIPTION:Spring and summer is a time for gardening and enjoying the outdoors\, but it is also a time that we see more snakes and snake bites.  Nationally\, over 7000 people are bitten by venomous snakes each year.  During the summer\, HMH typically sees 5-10 venomous snake bites a month. \n\nJoin us for a discussion on venomous snakes in our area\, including the rattlesnake\, copperhead\, cottonmouth\, and coral snake.  The panel of experts will discuss how to avoid being bitten\, myths/misconceptions on what to do if you are bitten\, and first aid techniques.  There will also be a presentation with live snakes to show how quickly snakes can strike.  Bring a friend and plan to join us for this informative discussion!
