DESCRIPTION:The Walker County Hospital District (WCHD) and Huntsville Memorial Hospital (HMH) invites the community to attend two town hall meetings on April 1\, 2025. With the hospital bond election just 6 weeks away\, this gives voters an opportunity to get answers on what the bond will fund\, how it will serve our growing community and to be informed about the future healthcare and medical services for Walker County residents. Both meetings will be held at the Texas Prison Museum\, located at 491 Highway 75N in Huntsville\, Texas. The first meeting begins at 11:00a.m. and the second one starts at 5:30p.m. Early voting for this important bond issue begins April 22\, 2025\, and ends on April 29\, 2025. Election Day is Saturday\, May 3\, 2025. The Republican Party of Walker County (RPWC) is hosting this town hall meeting to ensure that voters have an opportunity to hear a presentation from the WCHD and HMH regarding the upcoming bond election. This is not an official endorsement of the WCHD's proposition and the RPWC only seeks to assist in educating voters before the polls open for early voting on April 22\, 2025.
