DESCRIPTION:38thFair on the Square-New Excitement this Year!!!\n\n	 \n \n\nLooking for a place to take the whole family for fun\, food and adventure?  If so then we have the perfect solution the 38thAnnual Fair on the Square!  Saturday\, October 6th grab the kids and head to the historic downtown square right in the center of Huntsville.  But first stop at Bowers Stadium Parking Lot P14 and take advantage of Free Parking and the Free Shuttle Service provided by the Forum Apartments!  We are excited to offer this service that will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to and from the fair!  Over 800 spots are available and 18 handicap spots as well just look for the signage and tent in the parking lot!\n\n \n\nThe Fair on the Square reminds many Huntsville residents that autumn is here!   Shoppers will find many items to get them ready for both the fall and Christmas holidays.  Jewelry\, apparel\, home d cor and many more treasures will be showcased both by vendors and the merchants on the downtown square and Midway Plaza. \n\n \n\nRun short on cash at the Fair?  This year we are also excited to offer portable ATM services both in the food court near the Beer Garden and on the courthouse square near the gazebo!  Fair on the Square Coordinator and Chamber Events Manager Laura Green stated\, "The Fair on the Square committee is always striving to make the Fair better each year for the vendors\, shoppers and the Huntsville community as a whole.  This is an event that we can showcase our beautiful city to hundreds of visitors and hopefully encourage them to come back in the future!"\n\n \n\nRemember entrance to the Fair on the Square is absolutely Free as are many attractions throughout the fair!  The popular Kids Korner is a haven of fun for children of all ages!  The Kids Korner is located in Rather Park but also spills over to the Bank of America parking lot with a rock wall\, moonwalk\, train\, ice cream vendor and more!  The attractions in Rather Park include some old favorites\, the petting zoo\, bungee run\, slide\,  and free arts and crafts and building projects  provided by the Boys and Girls Club and Home Depot!  And of course many "youngsters" will show us their talents on the entertainment stage!\n\n \n\nIf you get tired of shopping and want to take a break be sure to head to the food court to taste many of the fair specialties.    Homemade root beer floats and freshly squeezed lemonade will quench your thirst while you munch on fried pickles\, kettle korn\, barbecue and more!\n\n \n\n11:00   5:00 p.m. you get listen to the tunes of two local favorites\, Wayne Williams & Thundercreek and the Rosenwall Band\, as the play on the stage in the Beer Garden.  Keep your fingers crossed as we are working on broadcasting the SHSU vs SFA game live in the beer garden!  We want to support our Bearkats and cheer them on to victory! \n\n \n\nAll this excitement could not just be contained to one day so we will once again kick off the Fair on the Square with a Pre-Fair celebration sponsored by Stevenson Distributing on Friday\, October 5th.  From 9:00 p.m. to midnight you can sing and dance along with Micky  and the Motorcars and the Haley Cole Band  as they play many Texas County tunes.  Pre-sale tickets are available for only $8 at the Chamber\, Baskin's\, Bearkat Books and Cavender's.  Tickets at the gate will be $10\, so get yours early and take advantage of the discounted rate!  Some tickets will also be given away prior to the event at Shenanigan's and remember they will be open following the concert until 2:00 a.m.!\n\n \n\nOctober will soon be here and so will the 38thAnnual Fair on the Square.
